Binn Group sponsored Scottish squash star Rory Stewart has just secured his first ever senior title.

The 22-year-old from Muthill in Perthshire proudly displayed the Binn Group branding on his kit as he lifted the BSPA Boston Open trophy at the weekend.

Spectators saw Rory beat the British Junior Closed Champion in the semi-finals before going on to beat World Ranked 74 Jaymie Haycocks 3-0 in the final.

Rory’s first senior championship win comes on the back of a worrying couple of weeks. The young Scottish star has been battling a back injury which called a halt to pre-season training.

But the Scottish hopeful bounced back as he opened his third season on the Professional Squash Association World Tour with a quarter final finish at the Sutton Coalfield International tournament n- feeding off strong opposition from last year’s runner-up to make the final eight.

Binn Group Commercial Director Jim Brown voiced his delight at the strides being made by one of Scotland’s most promising squash players.

“Binn Group is thrilled to support such a promising young sportsman through the early stages of his career,” he said.

“Rory has a fantastic future ahead of him,” he said. “Binn Group is more than happy to back someone of his commitment and ability and hopefully provide the springboard for one of our top sportsmen of the future.”
