Binn Group’s events team is celebrating its busiest ever year.
A packed summer calendar has seen the waste handling experts play a key role in the smooth running of both local community events and major national crowd pullers, attracting thousands of people.
Andy Hay, Logistics and Events Manager, said an outstanding summer season had both strengthened existing contract relationships and created new partnerships for the future.
“Binn Group prides itself on being one of the most experienced and proficient event waste management service providers,” he said. “We have over 20 years experience in this sector and have worked hard to create a one-stop service for even the most discerning and demanding clients.
“We ensure we get involved right from the start – we are there as advisors at the vision and consultation stage and are still there at the end when the final piece of litter is cleared and the last bin leaves the site.”
Binn Group undertake to deliver what the client requires when the client requires it in a first class service tailor-made to each client’s individual needs. At events, this can often mean diverting additional resources to the site or increasing waste collection as and when the crowd demands – no matter what time of day or night.
“Having the resources to react and respond immediately to the event’s needs often sees us go the extra mile for clients,” explained Andy. “This is always appreciated and helps us maintain our enviable position as a national leader in our sector.”
Binn Group has a proven track record of excellence in both handling waste throughout the event and returning the site to pristine condition once the crowds go home.
The Binn Group events package also ensures that 100 percent of the waste taken from the event will be diverted from landfill – recycled, recovered or processed for use as a fuel – re-enforcing the client’s “green” credentials.

“Now that the files are closed on the 2017 season, our attention turns to next year. December will be a busy month as we open dialogue with event organisers to secure our workload for 2018.”
Andy Hay has recently been re-badged as Logistics and Events Manager after many years of working with the company in various roles.
Experienced in many aspects of Binn Group’s operations and administration, he now takes on responsibility for ensuring delivery, collection and presentation of all waste collection vessels – from small wheelie bins to vast skips – as well as all strands of event waste management services.
Married to his High School sweetheart, Andy prides himself in being one of the company’s cheeriest and most positive employees, a quality which helps when dealing with existing and potential clients in both events and sales arenas.
