HGV Mechanic

Start Time: 0600
Vehicle: A Company Vehicle will be provided by Binn Group for business use.
Working Pattern: 0600 – 1600 + every Second Saturday
Remuneration: £35,500-£42,000 per year

Apprentice HGV Mechanic

The Binn Group was established in the 1990s by the MacGregor family, and in that time has expanded to be Scotland’s largest privately owned resource and waste management group. The group now has two sites, over 130 staff, and the full suite of waste management services.

Our offering:

  • Paid apprenticeship, depending on experience we will put you through an external apprenticeship course as well as learning on the job. We have a team of nurturing mechanics who with years of experience who will happily share with an interested apprentice.

Yard Operator with machine operating experience

We currently have an opportunity for a Yard Operative to be involved in the day to day activities within our busy Scrap business in Perth. The team is small yet perfectly formed and plenty to learn. There is training available for a competent machine operator and if you know your Ferrous from your non-ferrous metals, you’ve already got an advantage.

Benefits:

– Salary starting at £10.90 negotiable dependent on experience

-Usual hours 0700hrs – 1700hrs, Saturday 0800-1200hrs.

Key Responsibilities

– Comply with the requirements of a safe working environment following the H&S policy, and applying safe working principles.

– Willingness to undertake physical labour within metal shed involving weighing in and processing scrap.

– Assist in process of unloading vehicles

– Ensure the highest levels of customer service are provided.

– General housekeeping of the yard

The Ideal Candidate….

. Previous experience of the waste management sector is desirable but not required.

. Ability to work autonomously and independently.

. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

. Right to work in the UK
