Perthshire-based Binn Group has been listed as one of the UK’s top 10 emerging businesses in the recycling and sustainability sector.
The national accolade sees Scotland’s leading independent waste management and recycling company shortlisted for a prestigious Chartered Institute of Waste Management award at a ceremony in London next month.
The company has been shortlisted in the CIWM Sustainability & Resource Awards in the The Catalyst Corporate Finance Waste and Resources Fast 50 category which recognises the fastest growing businesses within the UK’s waste and resources industry.
From the list of the 50 fastest growing companies, SIWM shortlist the top 10 for inclusion in the awards. The ultimate winner will be revealed at CIWM’s Sustainability and Resources Awards luncheon on November 3.
Rebranded from Binnwaste Management and Binn Skips which was formed over 20 years ago, Binn Group has combined substantial investment and international expertise in one of the country’s most technologically advanced waste recycling and processing centres now at the forefront of Scotland’s national waste strategy.
Binn Group Commercial Director Jim Brown said the company was “absolutely delighted” by this latest accolade. “To be listed as one of the top 10 companies of our type in the UK is recognition of the fact that we are growing and developing and that our business strategy is starting to pay dividends and getting us noticed,” he said.
“To be shortlisted in the CIWM awards is particularly rewarding because it is recognition by our peers which is tremendous.”
