The popular theatre outlines their contract with Binn Group.
“Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre believe that everyone has a responsibility to take care of the environment in which we operate and make best use of resources.
As part of our environmental policy we aim to reduce our waste and to recycle as much as possible. Furthermore, we have also signed up to Zero Waste Scotland in line with the Waste Scotland Regulations (2012).
Our original waste contractor could not supply the theatre with the recycling we required. As a result, this meant we had to contact additional companies for skips etc. After reviewing our in-house recycling needs we approached several companies for quotations. Binn Group was able to assist us with all waste streams. Not only weekly pick-ups of glass, food, general and DMR, but also additional requirements of WEEE.
With 98% of our waste now recycled, we have reduced associated CO2 by 90.2%. The service provided is always friendly, efficient, good value for money and provides helpful information for reporting. It’s great to have a one-stop-shop that can do it all. The fact that Binn Group also has impeccable environmental credentials fits in with our plans to work with local suppliers with a strong environmental and ethical record and ambition.
Recently Binn Group kindly allowed our Green team to visit the Glenfarg plant. The information we gained has been a great educational tool for us to use and we look forward to re-visiting when the poly tunnels and wind turbines are completed.
We look forward to a continued relationship with Binn Group.”
