Job title: Weighbridge Operator

What does your job involve?
My job involves weighing in customers’ vehicles over the weighbridge and waste material in the shed, pricing up customer receipts, maintaining up to date records, as well as keeping on top of our monthly sales figures.
What is the hardest part of your job?
There are times we can get really busy between customers in the yard and phone calls etc…..its always a challenge to keep a level head whilst ensuring the customers receive the best service.
What three things help you to do your job better?
Having a great team around you really helps. Creating good relationships with customers is vital and finally enjoying your work really helps. There is always something new to learn and it is always interesting.
What are you most proud of in your career?
I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful wee boys and I am proud to know that I can provide for them by working hard at a thriving company with plenty of opportunities to develop.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
