Binn Ecopark under the spotlight at industry showcase
Binn Group was delighted to partner with Invest In Perth to showcase both Perth and Kinross district and Binn Ecopark at this year’s RWM Exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham.
The shared stand turned the spotlight on the potential for like-minded and complementary businesses to co-locate at the evolving Ecopark, with support from Invest In Perth to create jobs and contribute to the circular economy in Scotland.
“RWM is the UK’s leading trade show for recycling and waste management,” explained Binn Group Commercial Director Jim Brown, “providing the biggest platform for the latest innovations shaping the sustainability sector.
“For two days of the year, in September, practically the entire sustainability and environmental industry meets at the NEC, Birmingham,” he said. “This was the perfect platform to showcase the business opportunities afforded at Binn Ecopark and future development plans for the site.”
Both days boasted exemplary seminar schedules delivering expert advice; live demos of pioneering new technology and hundreds of market-leading companies equipped with their finest solution-led products and services. Alongside a notable speaker lineup – including NASA, TerraCycle, Costa Coffee, Keep Britain Tidy, Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola, The Co-op, BBC Studios, and Clean Up Britain patron Jeremy Paxman – this year’s event also featured the launch of new features like the dedicated Waste Tech Theatre, the evolution of the Zero Emissions Zone and the return of Materials World.
RWM, in partnership with CIWM, is the only UK sector event of this scale. To put it into figures – 500 exhibitors, 350 seminars and 50 free-to-attend theatres supported by around 21,000 attendees over the two days.
“It was a great opportunity for Binn Group and Invest In Perth to showcase primarily the Ecopark, but also what Perthshire has to offer as a place to live and work,” said Mr Brown.
